Biography

Scarlet studied a BA in Photography, Film and Video at London's University of Westminster.

As Ross Halfin's assistant she got a taste for 'Rock photography' and had her first photograph, a picture of Chris Cornell,
published in Raw Magazine.

On the whole, she shot live concerts and was fortunate to go on the Lollapolooza tour with the Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins (thanks to *Wilf Wright*) where she had the freedom to experiment with documentary-style photos. On this tour she shot her first significant photograph which was of the Verve and was used on the artwork for their 'A Northern Soul' album.

In 1999, Scarlet held an exhibition to raise money for Task Brasil and ABC Trust, two Brazilian charities for street children.

In 2006 she completed a comprehensive portrait exhibition 'Your Child' in association with the charity Warchild at the Proud Gallery in Camden. Comprising of 40 black and white images, it has since shown in Bath, The University of Westminster and culminated at The Royal Albert Hall at the end of 2007.

She is currently working on a celebrity calender 2009 for the PDSA.

Other significant long running projects include: In 2001 she shot all the photos for Robbie Williams' book 'Somebody Someday', and the DVD 'Nobody Oneday' as well as stills for 'Swing when you are Winning'. She toured for most of 2004 as the Darkness' official photographer. She shoots all the stills (press and website) for The Album Chart Show for Channel 4.

Scarlet regularly contributes to Kerrang!, Mojo, Q, The Independant, Spin, Blender and Rolling Stone magazine as wel as shooting press and artwork sessions for all major record companies and artist management. As well as fly-on-the-wall she specialises in studio portraiture and location shots.

On top of all this she became a mother for the first time in October 2007.
