Exhibition is touring!!!

Rock royalty comes to Westminster

January 8 2007

Generations of rock royalty are featured in a new photographic exhibition at the University of Westminster’s London Gallery West.

Your Child, an exhibition by Scarlet Page, herself the daughter of Led Zeppelin guitar legend Jimmy Page, features pictures of well-known musicians and celebrities with their children.

Scarlet, 35, who graduated from the University’s BA in Photography, Film and Video in 1993, is an accomplished photographer whose work has appeared in Kerrang!, Q Magazine and the Evening Standard. She has photographed some of the biggest names in music, from Robbie Williams to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Your Child, which is run in association with the charity Warchild, includes pictures of celebrities, including Sadie Frost, Keith Allen, Happy Mondays frontman Sean Ryder and Travis singer Fran Healy with their children.

Gallery curator Michael Maziere said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for an alumni to exhibit their work at the university that they began their career at. Westminster has an exceptional record of producing talented photographers, and we are delighted that Scarlet will be displaying her work here.”

The exhibition will run from January 26 until March 4 at the University’s London Gallery West at its Harrow Campus. Scarlet will be attending a private view on January 25, and will feature in conversation with Andy Golding, head of photographic and digital media at Westminster on Tuesday February 7.
